In today's video we're filling soccer balls (footballs) with three different gasses- sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), helium, and carbon dioxide. Will the different gasses affect how the balls react?

The weight of the sf6 made it go further and the lack of weight made the helium easier to kick further

Two complaints. 1) the location is terrible. We need smooth terrain with few obstacles. So a proper soccer or football field would've been much better. 2) you should've used a machine to kick it instead of a person. More consistent performance from the machine would've given you a much clearer idea of how the gas inside a ball influences it.

This isn't about soccer balls, it's about camera time for them! Would it have been soo hard to get a gram scale and weigh one ball with the 3 different gasses in it at the same pressure? Then subject the SAME BALL to the tests with the different gasses? You're testing gas differentials, not balls.

I did my science fair project on something like this a few years ago by filling two basketballs up one with air and one with helium. The one with air bounced higher than the one with helium. They were the same drop height and psi but the air one bounced higher.
